Project Manager Position

The role of the Project Manager (PM) is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The PM will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control.

Our ideal candidate possesses the following qualities:

  • An ability to resolve conflicting situations
  • Experience implementing web technology or training clinical sites on the use of web technology
  • Experience creating clinical research training content
  • Strong knowledge base of QA or Pharmacovigilance process
  • Experience at large pharmaceutical companies or CROs
  • Strong PowerPoint experience (you know what slide review is)
  • Interest in collaborating with team to develop new or improve existing clinical solutions
  • The ability to delegate tasks and lead a team, along with providing quick solutions to both team and client.
  • An in-depth understanding of project financials: estimated budgets, costs, actual hours, etc., and the ability to track and reconcile.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with effective meeting facilitation skills.
  • An ability to work within deadlines, ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery and client satisfaction.
  • A self-starter who works as well independently as they do as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, a solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Word. Proficiency in Microsoft Project a plus.
  • Understanding of managing web and A/V capabilities/technologies and production processes is a plus.

Candidates must have:

  • A track record of successful project implementations/oversight
  • A firm understanding of the clinical trial process
  • A college degree
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently and competently manage problems -- when things go off plan (due to scope-creep, changed requirements, missed deadlines etc.) bring them back on plan or create a new plan with the assistance of key stakeholders
  • Plan and run projects by coordinating all resources and stakeholders: set deadlines; assign responsibilities; and monitor, summarize and communicate the progress of the project.
  • Meet all project constraints including time, cost and agreed quality standards
  • Assemble training assets required for production team to perform tasks
  • Disseminate production information to production team through task and sub-tasks assignment based on requirements
  • Coordinate communication between staff and third parties acting on behalf of the client
  • Create, maintain, and constantly look to improve production processes
  • Serve as or assist with the Account Management for clients
  • Explain the technology in proposed solutions to clients and others (where applicable)
  • Present work to the client at milestones throughout the production
  • Work with client against scope creep and work to keep project within scope
  • Train clients on use of delivered solutions
  • Ensure client expectations are met and exceeded in terms of quality of product and services delivered
  • Provide soft-sales (up-selling opportunities) or articulate these opportunities to the appropriate channels
  • Keep current on new technologies as they relate to web site and web application development
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
